Rollover Crash Seriously Injures 3 Fremont Teens
Rollover Crash Seriously Injures 3 Fremont Teens

A Sunday night crash on Sandusky County Road 201 has resulted in the serious injury of three Fremont teens.

The teens are now listed in critical condition at a St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center after the rollover crash.

The crash happened at 9:40 p.m. when the 2006 Ford Fusion was eastbound on Sandusky County Road 201 and went off the side of the road. After going off the road, it went into a field and rolled over. According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, it seems that the driver was going too fast for the conditions of the roadway which were snowy at the time.

The passengers in the car that overturned on Sunday were 15-year-old Savhana Cousins, 18-year-old Drake Brown, and 15-year-old Janell Raby. All three are in intensive care at St. V’s.

The driver of the car that overturned was 16-year-old Javon McDonald of Fremont. After the accident he was taken to Memorial Hospital and then transferred to another hospital.

It has been reported by the Fremont News Messenger that Drake Brown and Janell Raby were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident and were thrown from the vehicle.

Cousins was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the teens as they fight to recover from this serious accident.
