Rescuers sue Ohio woman saved from flaming vehicle | Toledo, Ohio Personal Injury Attorney

In 2009 two Ohio men were honored as heroes for their actions after a car accident but are now suing the woman they rescued from her burning car. David Kelly and Mark Kincaid are suing Theresa Tanner and are claiming that the accident was her fault and that saving her left the men with disabling injuries. They are each seeking damages of upwards of $25,000. David Kelly said the smoke and fire did so much damage to his lungs that he can no longer carry a laundry basket upstairs in his home; he is also claiming that he saw hair melting on Theresa Tanner's head and is now haunted by the memories. Theresa Tanner had told police that on the day of her accident she had an argument and wanted to end her life, she was critically injured but survived. She told investigators that she didn't remember anything after she veered off the road.
