Port Clinton Wal-Mart Pharmacist Struck and Killed While Riding Bicycle

The Port Clinton Wal-Mart pharmacist, Dale Tusen, was killed this morning while riding his bicycle. He was riding west on Wilcox Road east of Ohio 53 around 5:55 AM when a driver struck him in the rear.

Dale was thrown from his Trek Madone bicycle and died from his injuries, according to the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The driver of the car, Michael Swint who was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, was not injured in the accident and has not been cited for the accident. If Mr. Swint is found at fault for the accident, after the police investigation is completed, he can be found liable for the damages that he caused, including pain and suffering for family members of Mr. Tusen.

In these cases it goes beyond a bicyclist-car collision. If Mr. Swint is found liable for the accident the family of Mr. Tusen can file a wrongful death lawsuit.
