Owens nursing school loses accreditation | Can I get a job if I was an Owens nursing student?

According to the Findlay Courier, Owens Community College's associate degree registered nursing program was denied its continuing accreditation this year from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission's board of commissioners.

The Owens nursing students can still take their Ohio licensing exams, and the school remains accredited with the State of Ohio, but the program lacks the important accredition that allows students to transfer to a four-year university or obtain a job.

The problem remaining is the number of students who would have transferred to another school had they known about the Owens nursing school accreditation problem, as well as how long Owens Community College has known that they were not accredited with the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Students are also concerned that they will not be able to transfer to a four-year college or university, and whether or not earning a degree from a non-accredited school will hurt their chances of obtaining a job. Can you still get a good job if you were an Owens nursing student?

Want to know what to do next if you are a nursing student at Owens Community College? Owens Community College nursing students need to know the proper legal steps to take. Contact our office at 800.637.8170, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak to an attorney immediately.

Yeah, that's right! I agree with you, Larry. And I was appalled after reading the article on this site. Why do things like this could happen? What are the causes of this problem? I hope the law problems like this can be quickly resolved and did not disrupt the learning process of nursing students.

It's a great thing that your law office is working so hard to help these nursing students. The students need someone to fight for their rights in this type of case. Great job!
