Man facing Death Penalty sentence
Shawn Morgan has been charged for the death of 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez. Several days after Rodriguez was taken, her body was found in a drainage ditch.Morgan confessed to suffocating the girl.
In addition to a child kidnapping and murder charge, prosecutors filed a new charge of statutory aggravating circumstances against Morgan. That charge is what allows the state to seek the death penalty.
