Man awarded $2.3 million in Kroger lawsuit | Toledo personal injury lawyer

Craig Walters was recently awarded $2,365,238.40 by a judge that determined Kroger destroyed and manipulated evidence.

The lawsuit stemmed from an incident that occurred in May of 2008. Mr. Walers was shopping at his local Kroger. Crushed fruit fell on the floor near the deli area and he slipped and fell on it. The fall injured his back, which required that ha have back-fusion surgery and also that he have rods and screws put in in order to stabilize his spine.

Walters had nearl $135,000 in medical bills and was unable to work.

Kroger was dishonest in showing the video footage of the fall area, but it came out during a deposition that they did in fact have the evidence they claimed could not have been obtained.
