Man, 31, charged with sexual battery of girl, 13 | Toledo, Ohio Sexual Assault Attorneys

Former local resident Joshua E. Bierce, is being accused of sexually abusing a young relative of his. He was turned over to the Huron County Sheriff's Office and it is not known why he was originally in the custody of the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office and the jail records she that he was not booked on any charges in that county. The police captain said that he is accused of having sex with a 13 year old girl and is being charged with sexual battery that is related to an occurrence on August 1 of 2010. If he is found guilty he could face a fine of up to $10,000 and anywhere from 1 to 5 years in prison. The Law Director in Norwalk said the girl said it was a continuing pattern of sexual abuse. Sexual battery is any sexual conduct that involves a biological parent, adoptive parent or step-parent and statutory rape is a sex offense that involves a victim who is younger than 13 years old. He is not being charged with statutory rape because she was not under the age of13. The girl's biological dad is the one who filed the complaint and after the results of some tests were received and the investigation was completed, there was a warrant for Joshua Bierce and he was then arrested, he has a $25,000 bond.
