Jury Awards $95 Million In Sexual Harassment Suit | Toledo, Ohio Sexual Harassment Lawyers

Ashley Alford is awarded $95 million in her sexual harassment lawsuit against Aaron's Inc, formerly Aaron Rents. There is a cap on federal sexual harassment damages, so they will be reduced to $41.6 million. She was awarded $15 million in compensatory damages and $80 million in punitive damages. In 2009 Aaron's and the EEOC entered into a consent decree which said that the company agreed to not discriminate against employees or subject them to sexual harassment or retaliate against them for reporting harassment. It also said that the St. Louis managers attended three hours of sexual harassment training along with other requirements too.
