There have been tens of thousands of children across the United States that have entered Small Smiles dental clinics. Often time, children enter with completely healthy teeth but leave with mouths full of fillings and caps after having unnecessary work done such as, drilling teeth and performing root canals. Many times the dental work was performed without pain medication. The devious and deceitful actions of Small Smiles have come to light. Upon Small Smiles being exposed, parents started questioning their children on what happened behind closed doors.

Kevin Davis took his two young boys to the Toledo, Ohio Small Smiles dental clinic. Staff members at Small Smiles informed Kevin that he was unable to proceed past the waiting room, reluctantly, he consented to allow his children to enter the back alone. Four hours later, the two boys come from the back sweating and crying with swollen mouths. Kevin believed what he was told by the dentist that everything was fine and they were just upset because they did not like the dentist. Seven years later Kevin learned that Small Smiles mistreated thousands of children. This lead Kevin to ask his oldest son if he had been strapped down during dental procedures, his son said “Yes.”

In another case, five year old Brandon went to Small Smiles just to get his teeth cleaned. After all was said and done, he was strapped down to the chair and received 16 agonizing root canals and had 16 silver caps put on his teeth. As he walked into the waiting room to his mom, all she could see was a sweat drenched shirt, blood dripping from his mouth, and silver shining through.

Six year old Morgan had to undergo five root canals and five fillings, topped with five crowns which was all done in one sitting. Morgan began to cry for her mom and the dentist turned the radio volume really loud to drown out the cry.
