Today is the “drive thru bash” of 13abc’s third annual Hope for the Holidays toy drive. Today from 5:00am until 6:30pm, 13abc news personalities will be outside of the station to help unload donations of toys.

Stop by the station and join in the giving spirit of the holiday! A tent will be up with musical groups performing throughout the day, including the double quartet from the Greater Toledo International Youth Orchestra during the Noon hour.

The studio is at Dorr Street and Richards Road, making it easy for donations to be dropped off. The easiest way for motorists to enter is from Dorr Street, and then exit on Richards Road.

All those who donate a toy will also receive a free slice of pizza from Vito’s pizza. Santa Claus will also be greeting children with three miniature horses from Serenity Farms.

Officials from Toledo Public Schools will be at the “drive thru bash” to donate toys and Toledo Mayor Mike Bell will stop by at Noon. Scott High School’s drum and Bugle Corps will also be in attendance at Noon for a performance along with Bowsher’s cheerleading squad.

For those who are downtown, a donation site at Hylant, 811 Madison Avenue is set up where doughnuts and coffee will be served until 9:00 am.

To learn more about the toy drive and how you can participate, visit the 13abc website where you will also find an extended list of donation sites.
