31,000 Gemini Chargers Recalled After Burned Hand

Gemini recalled their adaptors/chargers for cell phones and other electronic produces due to one report of a consumer burning their hand. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, “the items with model number ADCP3-1000 imprinted on the plug side of the adaptor are plastic cubes about 1” to 1 ¼” on one side with two prongs for plugging into an electrical outlet and a USB port on the other. Recalled chargers come in five different colors: black, blue, green, red and white.” These chargers are unfit for use and consumers are urged to throw them away.

Defective or dysfunctional items can cause injuries and accidents, including serious burns or the possiblity that the chargers could ignite surrounding items or clothings and cause serious fires.
