Florida Jurors Banned from Electronic Communication | Toledo, Ohio car accident lawyers

The Supreme Court of Florida has passed a new law than bans jurors from using electronic communication to discuss cases they're involved with.

Jurors can't use Twitter, Facebook, blogs, text messages or any other digital service to relay information.

This comes after several defendants from several states, including a man in Ohio who was facing a drunk driving charge, complained that jurors were making statements online about cases.

These new rules regarding the dissemination of information online should also be observed by anyone who is pursuing a personal injury case. For example, if you were hurt in a car accident and then posted pictures on Facebook of you running a marathon, it could easily wreck the injury case you are trying to pursue.

In short, if you are involved in a legal matter, it is best to keep all the details between you and your attorney until the case concludes.
