-If an unfamiliar dog approaches you, remain motionless until the dog leaves the area.

-If a dog attacks, throw something at it; anything that you are currently holding that can come between you and the dog.

-If you are a dog owner, have your dog spayed or neutered, take him to obedience classes and avoid chaining your dog.

-Children should tell an adult immediately

-Wash the wound with soap and water and consult a doctor. 

-Report animal bites to Animal Care and Control.
