CNA's at high risk for work-related injuries

The numbers are in and the research shows that more than 60% of all certified nursing assistants (CNA's) experience some sort of work-related injury. The injuries range from cuts and back injuries to black eyes, and human bites. This is due to the lifting, bathing and handling of residents.
It is important that those who are injured while on the job receive fair compensation. ASide from the workers' health, work-related injuries can negatively impact job satisfaction, contribute to shortages and affect the overral care provded by the CNAs.
