Car Hits a Boulder and Two were Injured

Around 10:45 p.m. Friday night in South Toledo a car driven by Nicholas H. Martinez, 17, went off road after he lost control. The vehicle then hit a landscape boulder and overturned near South Avenue and Henderson Street.

He was trapped in the car for a brief moment until firefighters could get him out. Mr. Martinez was then taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center in critical condition. The passenger, Kelsee Lee Barrett, 16, had minor injuries and was released to family at the scene. Another passenger fled the scene of the crash by foot and has not been identified.
