Bowling Green State University Student Killed In Accident | Bowling Green Ohio Accident Lawyers

The Charles E. Boyk Law Offices is saddened to report that a Bowling Green State University student has passed away after a car accident in Lucas County.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Brint and Washburn Roads in Richfield Township, right outside the village of Berkey.
Kathleen Smallman, was driving southbound on Washburn Road at around midnight on Tuesday. According to the report Smallman stopped at the stop sign, but then failed to yield at the intersection to a 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup truck. It struck her vehicle on the left side. Smallman was pronounced dead on the scene.
Smallman was a Metamora, Ohio native, studying journalism and pre-visual communication at BGSU.
According to the report both of the drivers were wearing seatbelts. They do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor. There is currently no indication as to why Smallman failed to yield at the intersection.
Sylvania resident Kevin Russell was driving the other vehicle. Highway patrol said he was not injured in the crash. The accident is still under investigation.
