Boater swims to shore after falling into Lake Erie | Toledo Ohio personal injury attorney

According to a report a 52-year-old woman who fell into Lake Erie from a boat heading from Michigan to Ohio swam to shore and was found and seemed to be suffering from hypothermia.
The Monroe County, Michigan's sheriff's department said in a statement that the husband of Amy Nearhood of Temperance reported Sunday night that she went overboard around the mouth of the River Raisin. Boats and helicopters searched the water near Monroe for her.
More than an hour after she was reported missing, an employee at DTE Energy Co.'s coal-fired plant in Monroe found Nearhood walking on the utility's property. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of hypothermia.
According to the report the boat was heading from the Monroe area to the Ottawa River Yacht Club in Toledo, Ohio, when she fell overboard.
