The National Transportation Safety Board is calling for a ban on all types of cell phone use while driving. They say that driving and talking can be deadly.

The board is hoping the law will compel drivers to be safe. They are recommending that all states ban all uses of cell phones, even hands-free devices.

Ohio currently does not ban texting and driving, but Toledo banned texting and driving last year. Only a handful of people have been charged, however. The violation is a misdemeanor and requires a warrant to prove.
