Attorneys earn rare win in Toledo medical malpractice case

In a rare medical malpractice win, a Sandusky County couple received a $3.75 million verdict yesterday in a Toledo, Ohio, court, according to the Toledo Blade. The jury awarded the damages to John and Phyllis Hutchins of Clyde, Ohio, due to injuries Mrs. Hutchins suffered in a 2002 surgery for an abdominal aeortic aneurysm that left her blind due to massive blood loss, The Blade reported. She also had a kidney and her spleen removed and underwent a colonstophy. Toledo medical malpractice attorneys will tell you that such victories are rare, even in solid cases.
