9 year-old still in hospital after head- on collision | Toledo, Ohio car accident attorney

The Charles E. Boyk Law Offices is here to report that a head-on collision sent one nine year old girl to the hospital. Amanda Vanatta, the nine year old girl from Findlay, Ohio, has been in the hospital since the end of July.  

Amanda is going into the fourth grade at Washington Elementary in Findlay. On July 22^nd, Amanda was in riding in the car with five other people when they were involved in a head-on collision along route 12 in Arcadia. Amanda was the only one who suffered major injuries.

Amanda has been in intensive care for about four weeks, and has had at least four surgeries.  

In the meantime, friends launched a Facebook event page called "Praying for Amanda." They're asking for prayers and donations.

"Amanda, when she leaves, she's going to need a lot of long-term care, and that costs money," said family friend Bryan Bethel, "and that's what we're doing."

Amanda's mother, Lisa Leathem, has been by her daughter's side, at Toledo Children's Hospital, since the accident.
