3 Fatalities in morning accident | Toledo, Ohio wrongful death attorney

The Charles E. Boyk Law Offices are saddened to report that three people were killed and another seriously injured Thursday morning in a multiple-vehicle crash on I-475/U.S. 23.

The 5:30 a.m. crash occurred on the Manley Road overpass along I-475 and initially involved a pickup truck and tractor-trailer rig. A second accident that may have been involved with the first accident included a car, a motorcycle, and a pedestrian according to state troopers. One of the victims was ejected from a vehicle and the body was located beneath the overpass, and another person that was injured was transported to University of Toledo Medical Center.

The northbound lanes of I-475 are expected to be closed until at least mid-afternoon, the lieutenant said. Motorists are advised to avoid the area; the Ohio Department of Transportation suggests a detour by U.S. 24 to Reynolds Road to Airport Highway to 475. Manley Road also is closed, as well as the ramp from northbound I-75 to northbound I-475.
