18 Year Old Killed By Yaz Side Effect
Michelle Pfleger was a healthy 18 year old college freshman at Elon University in North Carolina. On September 24th she was walking to calss when she collapsed. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of death was pulmonary thromboemboli, which in other words is a blood clot. Michelle was a health young woman before this, and her mother believes that Yaz is to blame for her death.Although Yaz blood clots were not initially thought to have caused her death, the blood clot she experienced is very rare in healthy people and it is one of the side effects of Yaz.
Bayer is still standing behind their product in this case, but the mother of Michelle is planning on suing Bayer and its representatives.
