1 presumed dead, 1 injured in Point Place boating accident | Toledo, Ohio Personal Injury Lawyers

The Coast Guard resumed a search at 9 a.m. Monday for a missing man in the Maumee River who is presumed dead.
The man, who had been sitting on the back of the boat, was thrown into the water. Officials do not believe he was wearing a life vest.
Additionally, one woman who also fell overboard is being treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Two other people who were on the boat were not injured.
The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday off the shore of Point Place near Grassy Island.
After more than an hour of searching, rescue crews said they were conducting a recovery mission. They temporarily suspended the search at 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Rescue crews will be using a sonar unit from the Toledo Fire Department at the location where the man fell in. There is no plan yet to use divers in the water.
The United States Coast Guard, Toledo Fire Department, Ohio Division of Natural Resources and Washington Township Fire Department are all part of the search effort.
