Nick obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Miami University of Ohio where he was a double major in Political Science and Communications.  He graduated from Miami with honors in 2006, and immediately went on to attend law school at the University of Akron School of Law.  While in law school, Nick was selected to serve as Assistant Editor of the Akron Law Review - an honor reserved for only the top law students.  Nick was also a member of Akron Law's nationally ranked trial team, which is considered by U.S. News and World Report to be one of the top 10 trial advocacy programs in the nation.  Other top 10 schools include Georgetown University, Baylor University, and Northwestern University.  Nick graduated with his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2010.  At the time of his graduation, Nick also received a Litigation Certificate indicating that Nick had completed additional course work while in law school which focused on trial advocacy and dispute resolution.  Nick passed the Ohio Bar Examination on October 29, 2010.

 

During his time in law school, Nick was a law clerk in the Cleveland office of Reminger Co., LPA, which is one of the region's top defense firms.  As a Reminger law clerk, Nick did everything from drafting 50 page motions for summary judgment to preparing memoranda of law spanning a wide range of complex legal issues.  Nick also became highly skilled in utilizing both traditional and online legal research methods - skills which are essential in today's fast paced legal environment.  In addition, Nick learned how big insurance defense firms think and act, and Nick puts that knowledge to use every day as he represents his clients as a new attorney at Charles Boyk Law Offices, LLC.

 

In his spare time, Nick enjoys visiting with family and friends, listening to music, and jogging.
